GIVE GOD PRAISE

 Make a joyful noise unto the LORD, all ye lands. Serve the LORD with gladness: come before his presence with singing.  Know ye that the LORD he is God: it is he that hath made us, and not we ourselves; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture.  Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name.  For the LORD is good; his mercy is everlasting; and his truth endures to all generations. (Psalms 100)

It's Monday morning and all is quiet.  As I wake my son up for breakfast before school, my heart is always filled with warmth when he looks at me with those precious eyes and softly says, "Good morning Mom, I love you."  There is nothing sweeter than hearing your child's voice, especially when the first thing he says to you is "I love you."

Even though I've heard him say it thousands of times, this morning it touched me in a different way.  I thought of how much God loves us. We are His children.  Can you imagine how He feels when we offer Him this kind of love first thing in the morning?

I want to remind you to offer God the praise and gratitude that He is worthy of receiving every day.  Not just when you are in a bad situation, but continually.  The scripture says, "Rejoice always,  pray continually,  give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.
 (1 Thessalonians 5:16-18)

We should offer praises to Him because He is so good and merciful to us. (Psalms 118:28-29) and He is our Creator. (Psalms 100:3-4)

We all have our share of problems and challenges facing us every day, but we should always remember to give God praise regardless of what we are going through.  As we honor Him and give him sincere praise from the depths of our hearts, He will show up in our lives and bless us.  He will bring joy and strengthen you in your weakest moments! Did you know there is a recipe in the word of God that you can make and enjoy with God?  Here it is:

 SECRET RECIPE

1. First you give praise. Not just words, but sincere praise.  Cry out!
Praise- Attracts PRESENCE of God!

When King Solomon dedicated the Temple to God, he offered sacrifices and praised God. God answered by sending fire from heaven. Then His Glory came (2 Chronicles 7). Praise attracts God’s presence. He is drawn to where He is welcomed.

2.When God shows up. He adds Joy.
God's presence brings JOY!

You will show me the path of life;
In Your presence is fullness of joy;
At Your right hand are pleasures forevermore. (Psalms 16:11)

3. When Joy is stirred up, your strength is added.
Joy brings STRENGTH!

As God strengthens you, there is a fire down inside that you can feel...building you up!!

Nehemiah said, “Go and enjoy choice food and sweet drinks, and send some to those who have nothing prepared. This day is holy to our Lord. Do not grieve, for the joy of the Lord is your strength.” (Nehemiah 8:10)

Directions:
Give God your best praise. Spend time with Him, don't rush.  Keep praising until He shows up. You'll know by the Joy that fills your heart.  This is when you allow Him to add the Strength you need. Continue to praise, and He'll continue to strengthen you.  Thank Him for assisting you today!
Now enjoy this day, as He enjoys it with you!!

You see, as we offer God praises, it brings Him much pleasure to bless you with joy and strengthen you during your day!  So each morning when you wake up, give God sincere praise from your heart. Take some time to spend with Him before you do anything else.  What a way to serve breakfast to God!

Prayer:

Dear Heavenly Father,  thank you for allowing me to see another day.  I praise you today, not for what you do...but for WHO you are in my life.  I could not make it without you. I just want to spend this time  with you, not to ask for anything, but to just offer you my praise and gratitude.  I love you more than anything.  Thank you Father for being my ALL.  In Jesus' name, Amen.

Today, think of 5 things that you are grateful for and dwell on them!
